Touring with Kirsten Thien in the USA and with Dave Fields in Europe and Playing on K. O.’s Song “The Big Heartbreak”

2017 was a great year! Erik has been touring with Kirsten Thien in Maine and in the Midwest. Kirsten’s band included drummer Alex Alexander (David Bowie) and GRAMMY award winning guitarist and producer Larry Mitchell. Erik had some great conversations with David Lindley while scheduling a recording session for Kirsten’s new record. Unfortunately David Lindley had to cancel the day before in Los Angeles but hopefully next time!  Erik has also been playing with the Kirsten Thien Duo at her monthly residence at Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor, NY.

Erik played upright bass and Höfner bass on K. O.’s song and video “The Big Heartbreak”  which has received nearly 3 million views worldwide. K. O. explained about his video: “Find out what the great Bob Dylan said to a legendary spy after hearing this song in a Midtown N.Y. coffee shop”.
