Erik Boyd is a musician, writer and producer. He’s toured and played bass for Black 47, Hubert Sumlin, Kirsten Thien, Baby Wants Candy, Billy Hector, Dave Fields, Bobby Messano, Arthur Neilson, Ornette Coleman, Larry Coryell, Larry Mitchell, Galia Arad, Marc Muller, Dead On Live, Elliot Sharp’s Terraplane, Spencer Davis and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Little Anthony, and The Mamas & The Papas.

Television performances include “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”, “MTV”, and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”. Erik played fretless bass on the soundtrack for the Sundance Film Festival Award-winning film “Secretary”. He’s been described by Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine as a “power bassist who has been one of the hidden gems of the New York City scene”. In his most recent project, Erik produced singer-songwriter Kirsten Thien‘s critically acclaimed CD “Delicious”, which features blues legend Hubert Sumlin.
